10/3 Expressive Dahlias : Mixed Media Painting Workshop @ Bird Dog Cider

Join artist Paige Lindsey at Bird Dog Farm & Cider for a colorful, creative afternoon inspired by the dahlias growing right on the farm.

We’ll begin in Bird Dog’s dahlia field, where each guest will receive a Dahlia Flower Cup to fill with their own hand-picked blooms. Wander the rows and choose the colors, shapes, and varieties that catch your eye. Your freshly picked dahlias will become the inspiration for your artwork and are yours to take home at the end of the workshop.

Want more flowers? Guests will also have the option to upgrade to a larger bucket and pick additional blooms.

After gathering our flowers, we’ll settle in for an expressive mixed-media painting workshop led by Paige. Using your own dahlias as inspiration, Paige will guide you through creating a loose, layered floral painting while exploring watercolor and mixed-media techniques.

Rather than focusing on creating a perfectly realistic flower, this workshop is all about playing with color, shape, texture, layering, and expressive mark-making. You’ll learn ways to simplify what you see, loosen up your painting style, and translate the personality of your flowers into a piece that feels uniquely your own.

No previous painting experience is necessary. Paige will demonstrate techniques throughout the workshop and offer individual guidance as you create.

$115 per person includes:
-Dahlia Flower Cup + U-Pick experience, your freshly picked dahlias to take home
-2 hours of guided instruction with Paige Lindsey
-All watercolor and mixed-media materials
-Venue access at Bird Dog Farm & Cider.

Cider will be available for purchase separately from Bird Dog.
