Watercolor Workshop Series - Birth Month Flowers @ Illume Floral Studio

Engaging in a creative practice like watercolor painting during winter can be especially rewarding. The fluidity of watercolors mirrors the gentle unfolding of this reflective season, allowing you to explore themes of quiet beauty and renewal!

Through this process, you can find comfort, express your emotions, and reconnect with yourself, transforming the stillness of winter into a period of growth and inspiration.

Paige and Audrey from Illume Floral (Newmarket, NH) will be hosting a watercolor workshops series during the months of January, February and March. This workshop series will explore the art of painting each month’s birth flower while uncovering the rich symbolism and traditions behind it.

Through this process, you will find comfort, express your emotions, and reconnect with yourself, transforming the stillness of winter into a period of growth and inspiration. This series is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, offering a creative and meaningful way to connect with nature, your creativity, and a vibrant community.

In each session, participants will:
• Learn about the unique history and meanings of the month’s birth flower.
• Practice essential watercolor techniques to capture the delicate beauty of flowers while embracing mistakes and trusting the creative process
• Work from real-life blooms and reference materials to refine observation and painting skills. Students will also be able to take home a few blooms to continue their watercolor practice.
• Indulge in yummy refreshments

This ongoing series also provides a wonderful opportunity to build community. Join a nurturing and supportive group during the winter months to share stories, learn new skills, and celebrate artistic growth together.

• Membership students will receive their very own watercolor kit (sketchbook, travel watercolor set and paint brush) to use during class and take home with them
• Attend one session or join us for 3 consecutive months to build consistency in your creative practice.
• Watercolor kits are for membership students only! For those attending only one session, materials will be provided to use during the class. Paige will also have xtra kits available to purchase.
